This subject is designed for students who have entered the Accelerated program – graduate entry of the Bachelor of Nursing. It introduces nursing theory and practice and pathophysiology. Students complete 50 hours of supervised clinical nursing practice in the areas of adult medical/surgical. Students are also required to complete 40 hours of supervised laboratory skills, and complete self-directed learning packages. Student must pass both the theory and clinical components of this subject to continue in the accelerated program. Students who do not pass the subject will be offered the three-year Bachelor of Nursing.
