88932 Furniture Systems and Technologies
6cp Postgraduate
This subject offers students in the furniture design major (in the Master of Design) an insight into the materials, technologies and systems that enable the realisation of ideas, and the manufacture and distribution of designed furniture. The subject encourages investigation rather than offering prescribed solutions. It equips students with the knowledge to search for solutions, explore possibilities and see potential in both new and traditional means of making through a series of studio activities, design projects and research
seminars.
