In this advanced subject, students learn to solve 2D animation design problems for film and television. Topics covered at an advanced level include genre, character and background design, aesthetics, mattes and effects for film and video design, motion and timing, web applications, camera and lighting techniques, studio terminology, formats, storyboard techniques, crew roles and responsibilities, and project management. It is suitable for those students who are interested in film and video, architecture or interior design. Students do not produce finished animations in this subject.
