This subject introduces fashion marketing and promotion and the importance of this application in business practice. It presents students with the opportunity to constructively plan, implement, analyse and evaluate a number of design and marketing situations. The subject is practice based and is offered through a series of lectures and tutorials.
The subject covers the following topic areas: the importance of marketing within fashion and textile design; the marketing mix; opportunities and strategies utilised within marketing; consumer markets and behaviour; and marketing plans and research.
