81926 Design Investigation Special

2cp

This subject provides an opportunity for students enrolled across the transition to the new postgraduate coursework degree programs to explore a design issue of their own choosing. The topic should be one that extends the student conceptually as a professional designer and involves higher-level information retrieval skills. After discussions with the subject coordinator, students write a brief specifying their nominated topic, process and outcomes. If the brief is appropriate the subject coordinator specifies a relevant supervisor to assist the investigation that each student consults with at least three times over a minimum six week, maximum 12 week timeframe. The outcome should be in a form that is instructive to other students in the degree program.
