In this subject, students gain an understanding of the role of trade marks law in the protection of intellectual property, a conceptual understanding of trade marks as a form of personal property, and an understanding of the practise of trade marks law. Students also develop an ability to use primary and secondary sources so as to critically engage with contemporary debates about the role of trade marks law in society.
