This subject provides a foundation for understanding the general principles of competition law and regulation on a global basis. It aims to provide students with an appreciation of the influences of competition law and policy on the evolution of competition policy in Australia. It also enables students to appreciate key points of similarity and difference in competition policy directions as between Australia, Europe, the United States and Canada. It also provides students with insights into new and emerging competition law regimes in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
