This subject looks at current laws affecting information technology. Students also consider future developments to deal with new forms of intellectual property rights related to computing and electronic data transmission.
Students examine the need for management to consider risk management of computer projects, and look at the problems posed by computer abuse and fraud for the legal system. There is particular emphasis on the importance of law to the development of the high technology and computer industries for the future, both in an international and a national context.
