Postgraduate

This is an advanced subject in European Union Law examining select issues. The topics discussed in this subject include the activities of the European institutions; the political and economic origins of the European Union (EU) and its institutional structures (with emphasis on the European Court of Justice); the interrelationship between EU law and the law of the 15 member States; and the free movement of goods, workers, capital and services. The subject concentrates on the emerging transnational protection of social and economic rights and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice.
