Undergraduate

This subject focuses on the interaction between information/telecommunications technologies and the law. It deals with both the legal issues raised by such technologies as well as providing a brief introduction to building computerised legal resources.The subject starts with a general introduction to the Internet and to the other relevant electronic resources. Legal issues covered include: computer security and computer crime, intellectual property rights and privacy laws. The technical component of the subject concentrates on publishing on the Web and legal expert systems.
