Requisite(s): 65201 Chemistry 2C AND 65307 Physical Chemistry 1
This subject focuses on the chemical basis of nanotechnology. Descriptions of molecular bonding, structure and interactions are discussed together with computational methods of modelling molecules. The preparation, characterisation and uses of molecular devices are discussed. In the laboratory, experiments involve the preparation of some interesting molecular materials as well as fabrication of some molecular devices.
