Requisite(s): (68413 Quantum Technology OR 68037 Physical Modelling) AND (33290c Statistics and Mathematics for Science OR 33230 Mathematical Modelling 2)
The subject is arranged in three modules. The first module deals with four current research topics and examines the methods scientists use to undertake research. The second module provides examples of the application of science in solving real-world problems and examines the role of technology within the broader community. The final module provides an introduction to the innovation process, the path by which scientific and technological advancements are turned into commercial products.
