Postgraduate

The objective of this subject is to provide the student with the knowledge to implement traffic engineering principles in local government in accordance with current practice in NSW.

The student is introduced to standards adopted by the Roads and Traffic Authority NSW and AUSTROADS. The subject provides the basic principles of transportation planning and comprehensive traffic engineering, including technical aspects and the influence of environmental legislation and political factors.

Assessment: Project (30 per cent), examination (70 per cent).
