Requisite(s): 35383 High Performance Computing
These requisites may not apply to students in certain courses. See access conditions.
This subject develops a deeper understanding of some of the key problems arising in computational mathematics, including the algebraic eigenvalue problem and boundary value problems for ordinary and partial differential equations. A range of computational methods is studied together with their error analysis. Practical work includes the development of further expertise in Mathematica programming and in the use of high-performance computing in computationtal mathematics problems.
