The successful manager in an IT environment should know how to develop leadership skills in self and in team members. This subject equips managers with insights into communication skill learning and teaching and helps them to become more competent in people leadership. The emphasis is on the personal and inter-personal competencies required to develop leadership abilities and includes team skills, communication skills, conflict and change management skills and performance management skills. Students identify personal development needs and undertake a practical leadership development project.
