Recommended studies: an understanding of the principles and objectives of network security, and an appreciation of the issues involved in the management of large scale networks

This subject develops students' understanding of network security by considering the application of network security to large enterprises. Topics such as enterprise security architecture, high availability, fault tolerance, load balancing, virtualisation (security segmentation using VPNs and VLANs), remote access and B2B security issues are covered.
