31488 Programming Foundations

In this subject students are introduced to object-oriented programming, program design methodologies and program development using an integrated development environment (Visual Studio .NET). The subject aims to develop good programming skills in interface design, coding style and program testing. Topics such as database access and the creation of new classes and objects are dealt with. The programming language used is Microsoft Visual Basic .NET.
