This subject covers Mobile IP, the extension of the Internet protocol (IP) into the mobile domain, and several wireless local area network (WLAN) technologies: IEEE 802.11 WLANs, Hiperlan and Bluetooth. It introduces the concept of ad hoc networking, protocols and mechanisms for supporting mobility, and wireless application infrastructure. It also introduces techniques for developing simple applications over the wireless Internet.
