This subject covers basic business finance and economics relevant to the construction industry. It introduces macro- and microeconomic concepts and the structure and performance of the Australian and international economies, and examines macroeconomics and the business environment and the relationship between business and building cycles. The subject also deals with economic issues and policies relevant to the Australian construction industry, introduces financial markets, institutions and instruments, and examines financing of building and construction projects.
