This subject may be taken within the program or in practice-based learning mode. In either mode, the subject involves further exploration of the role of construction and associated structural systems as an integral part of the design process. This is demonstrated through the medium of a case study of a complex medium or high-rise building or in the complex integration of smaller scale buildings. Confident use of structographic analysis with consequent constructional detail is expected, assisted where appropriate by computer analysis.
