6cpPostgraduateSubject coordinator: Jane Sampson
This subject aims to help students: identify and critique an overall framework which links the many elements that make up the teaching and learning process; use this framework to improve their professional performance in the design, delivery and evaluation of diabetes education learning sessions in both group and one-to-one contexts; identify various assumptions about what constitutes effective teaching and learning and evaluate their own levels of performance against these indicators; identify and develop the skills necessary for effective self-directed professional learning; and use these to guide their own development as diabetes educators.
