Overview

This course offers graduates the opportunity to pursue advanced work in the humanities and social sciences, and prepares them for postgraduate research. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary approaches and the integration of scholarship with contemporary media.

Students undertake a program of advanced coursework and produce a thesis relevant to their academic, professional and/or creative agenda.

Additional admission requirements

Applicants are admitted to the Honours program only if appropriately qualified academic members of the Faculty's staff are available for supervision for the thesis component.

Course duration and attendance

This course is offered on a one-year, full-time basis.

Course structure

Students complete three 8-credit-point subjects (24 credit points) and a thesis (24 credit points). The thesis is based on their original work informed by theoretical study and independent research. The thesis may be presented in a variety of traditional and/or non-traditional formats.
