The Advanced Diploma in Australian Language and Culture (ADALC) has been jointly designed for international students by the ELSSA Centre and the Institute for International Studies. It may be studied as a study-abroad year in the students' current degree, as part of a university-to-university exchange agreement, or as a stand-alone program.
The program aims to develop English language proficiency through the study of Australian society and culture.
Students audit one faculty subject in each semester of the ADALC.
The Advanced Diploma is aimed at two types of students:
International students who successfully complete the ADALC program become eligible to study in UTS faculties, providing that they also meet any requirements of the relevant faculty.
