Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Community Management provides a basic introduction to the field and develops skills and knowledge in the areas of financial management and funding.

UTS is Australia's premier centre for research and teaching in nonprofit or community organisations. The course is industry relevant and flexible study modes are offered.

This course is part of an articulated program comprising the Graduate Certificate in Community Management, the Graduate Diploma in Community Management (C07019), and the Master of Management in Community Management (C04055).

Additional admission requirements

Applicants require one of the following:

  • a degree from a UTS-recognised university or other tertiary education institution and a minimum of two years' relevant work experience, or
  • extensive relevant work experience and evidence of a general capacity to undertake tertiary education.

Course duration and attendance

The Graduate Certificate is a one-year, part-time course.

It is taught in flexible mode, including three intensive workshops of five days each, self-managed learning packages and learning partnerships to develop peer-supported networks.
