This subject is designed to consolidate and further expand the linguistic and cultural capabilities and general language learning strategies acquired through prior exposure to the Italian language, or through Italian 5. Upon completion, students can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning; express themselves fluently and spontaneously; use the language flexibly, effectively and in a culturally appropriate manner for social, academic and professional purposes; and produce clear, well-structured text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
