Freshwater, estuarine and marine biological resources and their exploitation are examined. Problems of productivity against a background of regulations are explored, and the major management requirements for ESD of coastal and freshwater fisheries resources are addressed. In addition, fish taxonomy, capture methods and population modelling are assessed. NSW and Australian practices are examined in relation to best practices elsewhere.
