This compulsory subject provides a fundamental foundation for all future law subjects in the Bachelor of Business. The subject provides a background knowledge of the Australian legal system and the laws that govern Australian and international commercial relationships. It examines contract and consumer protection as well as laws governing civil liablity in a business setting. The content and assessment tasks develop the students' ability to research answers to legal issues. The subject is taught from a risk management perspective with a focus on avoiding legal pitfalls and solving ethical dilemmas.
