79024 Complex Forensic Cases (Law)

This subject is designed to enable a comprehensive understanding and analysis of the legal issues involving forensic science in the field and the impact of scientific evidence on the legal system.

Students receive training in the preparation of reports and in the presentation of evidence in court. There is a final mock trial that is not assessable.

Assessment: Class presentations (15 per cent), mid-semester exam (35 per cent), final essay (50 per cent).
