This subject covers dispute resolution for family disputes. It provides a framework for developing skills in the use of dispute resolution processes within the family court, and a critical evaluation of the use of such techniques. An essential feature of this subject is the study of the special problems that arise in resolving disputes within families, including power imbalances, gender issues, domestic violence and offences against children and the effect these have on the resolution of family disputes.
