The main objective of this subject is to develop theoretical and experimental skills and experiences in the following areas: basic circuit analysis and measurement; steady-state AC circuits; resonance and frequency response; diode circuits; electronic amplifiers; field-effect and bipolar transistors; and operational amplifiers. By the end of this subject, students should have acquired reasonable proficiency in the analysis of basic electronic circuits, and should be able to build and test circuits in the laboratory.
Assessment: Typically this subject is assessed through weekly Web-based tutorial exercises, laboratory work and a final examination.
