Undergraduate

This subject introduces the concepts of finance and business valuation and explores the practical application of these techniques in the context of new-start and new technology firms. Topics include organisational form, business and financial planning, funding sources including private equity, venture capital, asset-based and mezzanine debt, business valuation models and the implications of firm value models for major funding decisions such as pricing public offering and valuing takeover targets.
