6cp

Modern Western Aesthetics is intended to introduce students to the principal aesthetic theories of the last hundred years, with the ultimate expectation that they will be able to appreciate not just the principle philosophical bases and cultural ramifications, but also be capable of discriminating between competing aesthetic theories. Special attention will be given to the theoretical applications and implications to architecture and design.
