The aims of this studio are to develop a sophisticated integration of building program, structure, construction system and site planning; to develop a coherent project, satisfying complex brief requirements and engaging with the particularities inherent in public buildings; to encourage an understanding of the development of strategies relating to the relationships among clients, architects and planning authorities; to encourage an understanding of the historical development of public buildings and urban space and the theoretical propositions of the place of architecture in the urban fabric.
