The aims of this studio are: to develop understanding of the conceptual and imaginative process in architectural design by introducing architectonics and encouraging the testing of alternative solutions to design problems; to develop an understanding of the coherence between plan, section, elevation and perspective and thereby emphasise the qualities of experience of built space – both interior and exterior; and to introduce the demands of design program/brief and site.
