This subject develops students' teaching approaches and strategies to promote learning with the skills and understandings required to begin to teach mathematics. It aims to provide students with the skills and understandings required of an effective beginning teacher. This subject is closely associated with practicum. An emphasis is placed on professional commitment, current developments in teaching and learning, and reflection on teaching practice.
