022209 Arts in Contemporary Asia

This subject builds on 022208 Asian Arts in the Classroom by further developing students' application of knowledge and skills to the delivery of teaching/learning activities in the classroom related to the arts in Asia. Students also further develop their understanding of the arts of Asia and their interpretation. Comparisons between the arts of Asia and Australia are made for the purposes of comparison on interpretations and influences. The notion of the culturally inclusive classroom and its implication for teaching is explored. The subject addresses issues of content and context.
