The creative arts are important means of cultural and social expression. This subject provides insights into Asian creative arts in their social contexts, as well as the ways in which the arts of Asia have influenced the rest of the world and vice versa. It will investigate the breadth of Asian art forms and ways of interpretation. The arts as a form of religious or spiritual expression is also explored. The subject also looks into curriculum and classroom links with the creative arts of Asia, with a view to facilitating creation and interpretation of art forms on the part of students.
