015911 Career Development

6cp
Undergraduate
Subject coordinator: Elyssebeth Leigh

This subject assists learners to review their career, explore current and emerging trends in work and employment, and identify options for their own future development. Learners also develop skills and strategies for assisting others to develop their careers. Students identify and document the learning gained in both formal and informal learning contexts and examine this learning in relation to completion of their course of study. A key outcome is the development of a portfolio documenting accomplishments to date, identifying next steps and a longer-term strategic career development plan. Where appropriate, students will be able to submit this portfolio to a Faculty committee for assessment for advanced standing against the elective component of this program.
