This subject is designed to promote an understanding of the psychology of adult development and ageing. It focuses on those aspects of adult development deemed to be most useful and relevant to the teaching–learning process. It examines some of the current myths about adult development and ageing using research findings. No prior knowledge of developmental psychology is required, although prior completion of a subject in psychology would be useful.
