Overview

This is a research degree requiring an original and significant contribution to knowledge in an approved area. Candidates work under the supervision of a principal supervisor who is an academic staff member of the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Health and a supervisory panel of appropriately qualified experts. This degree prepares nurses for leadership positions in teaching, administration and research.

Course duration

The Doctor of Philosophy is offered on a full-time or part-time basis. It is usually completed over a three-year, full-time or four-year, part-time period.
