Course program
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Cultural Studies are able to:
- draw on an understanding of the major shifts in contemporary thought
- conduct original 'readings' of cultural texts
- think critically about what produces 'common' sense or 'common' readings of texts
- conduct presentations and collaborative projects with others to develop and communicate their innovative insights.
To gain entry to this course an applicant must demonstrate a satisfactory level of education, background and capability. It is expected that applicants have an undergraduate degree and that they have demonstrated a level of interest in the area through their professional concerns or through evidence of individual reading programs.
The course is offered over one semester, full time or equivalent part time.
