Undergraduate applications

Applications are only accepted on the official form available from the University Admissions Centre (UAC), which must be lodged with UAC by the specified closing date. UAC publishes a guide every year which details all application requirements, and these should be followed carefully.

The University currently requires all non-current school leaver applicants for Design to submit to UTS a compulsory design questionnaire. All non-current school leaver applicants for any other Faculty undergraduate degree are required to submit a compulsory professional experience questionnaire. For current school leaver applicants, no questionnaire is required. The questionnaires are available from the UTS Student Info & Admin Centre or the Faculty Office. Check the UAC Guide for submission deadline.

An information day, covering all relevant information on the Faculty's courses and application for admission, is held prior to the closing date for applications in August. UTS normally holds an HSC Advisory Day prior to the change of preference deadline in early January.

Postgraduate coursework applications

Applications for postgraduate coursework are normally made through UAC. Applicants are advised to contact the UTS Student Info & Admin Centre or the Faculty Office to confirm this and for details of additional selection criteria. On time applications normally close at the end of October, however later applications will be considered if places are still available. Most postgraduate awards may have a mid-year intake. Contact the Faculty Office in May for details.
